Python SDK

Changelog

Public release history and compatibility impact for the recuut Python SDK.

0.11.0 (upcoming)

Impact: Minor Compatibility: Breaking

Use one request-local payment lifecycle across Django and FastAPI. Django REST Framework views validate with a serializer, call payment.access(...), run serializer.save(), then complete the native response. Both function views and APIView methods are supported.

FastAPI handlers return typed results through payment.complete(...). Async handlers use await payment.acomplete(...). Both integrations prepare and validate responses before settlement.

Pull contracts again to use the typed access and completion methods. Previously generated completion helpers remain supported. The guides require recuut>=0.11.0.

This release is not yet published. The install commands become available after SDK publication.

0.5.0

Impact: Initial
Compatibility: Compatible

This is the first public release of the typed merchant client, framework integrations, CLI contract generation, and generated Merchant API bindings.

Install the exact release with pip install "recuut==0.5.0".

The 0.x series is still evolving. A breaking pre-1.0 release increments the minor version and marks the release as breaking here before publication.
